How Live Captioning Works
We use a variety of methods and tools to create and deliver live subtitles, although the modality of work we use most often is speech-to-text interpretation by means of respeaking. Once a project gets approved and scheduled, our team of professional respeakers will work with you to ensure the logistics and technical setup are ready prior to the event. Your audience will be able to follow our captions either on an internet browser or embedded into an on-line meeting platform such as Zoom. You will be given instructions on how to access our subtitles. On-site, we can display our captions either on a separate screen at the venue, or at the bottom of the main screen where slides or videos are being displayed.

Needless to say, we need to receive the audio and video source in order to produce the live subtitles, which in the intralingual mode are generated in the same language in which the speaker is speaking. For interlingual captioning, depending on the type and content of the event, we may either use speech-to-text interpreters for the creation of live translated captions, or team of simultaneous interpreters and live subtitlers to ensure we produce highly accurate captions.
